
Judith Martin is the founder and principal of Green Home Consulting, LLC. She was born and raised in New York and has lived in Westchester County since 1993. During that time, Judy also has been the project manager supervising the day-to-day construction process for a number of luxury homes that she has built or extensively renovated in Westchester County and East Hampton, New York.
Judy has developed her expertise in green home building through industry-accredited workshops, professional affiliations, and extensive research, including various green home building educational conferences and the Northeast Solar Energy Association’s (NESEA) Toward Zero Net Energy Homes Sustainability Series Workshop. Currently, Judy serves as a member of The Environmental Advocacy Group of Rye, the Environmental Advocates of New York, the U.S. Green Building Council and NESEA.
Judy’s focus on the impact of development on the environment began in 1981 when she purchased an 80-year-old home in East Hampton, New York. In 2001, she donated land bordering Long Island Sound in Mamaroneck, New York to the Westchester Land Trust so that it would remain undeveloped in perpetuity. Judy has also been a member of The Nature Conservancy for many years.
Judy earned her Bachelor of Applied Science degree summa cum laude from Boston University and her Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School. She held increasingly responsible positions in commercial banking and investment counseling prior to attending business school. Judy was a senior investment banker with Goldman, Sachs & Co. for 12 years ending in 1993 where her clients included energy companies and financial institutions.
